Shannon Gorman

Shannon earned her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and Applied Physiology from University of Delaware, whose sports medicine and kinesiology programs are amongst the top five in the US. Shannon went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York University. She has been a practicing PT for 9 years in NYC, treating patients ranging in age from pre-teens to older adults, all with diverse athletic backgrounds. She is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), holding this exercise certification requires a strong foundation of kinesiology and exercise physiology.
Shannon has always had a strong passion for movement, wellness, and hard work. Growing up, Shannon trained in and developed a lifelong passion for both ballet and competitive figure skating. She competed nationally as a synchronized figure skater in her teenage years, and then on the collegiate level at UD, earning a national silver medal in 2012 and national bronze medal in 2010. Shannon is currently both an individual and team figure skating coach, working with skaters on the sectional and national level each season in the greater NYC area.
