Eleanor Chiger

Eleanor received her Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Viola Performance from The Juilliard School.

She is passionate about providing thoughtful, holistic, highly individualized care, combining a variety of manual, neuromuscular, and exercise techniques to restore function and mobility. She is experienced in the management of a wide range of orthopedic and neurologic conditions and takes an analytical approach to getting her patients out of pain. As a movement specialist she focuses on optimizing biomechanics, sleuthing out the body diagnosis and restoring efficient movement patterns. She is highly skilled at clinical reasoning and not only gets her clients out of pain, but keep them out of pain. 

She is passionate about addressing the relationship between respiratory dysfunction and common musculoskeletal complaints, such as TMJ disorders, neck & low back pain, and shoulder dysfunction. She also has specialized training in oncologic rehabilitation, having worked for several years at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center,  treating complex patients at all stages of cancer treatment and survivorship. 

She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and has pursued rigorous continuing education with an emphasis on manual therapy interventions supported by current research and innovation.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys baking, knitting, and attempting to keep up with her two energetic sons.
