PILATES

Pilates is the ideal exercise method to connect the body to its core, improved posture, strength and dynamic flexibility. Our instructors provide expert guidance, and tailored programs to inspire the development of embodied knowledge; to know what it is like to move well, breathe, well, feel well and be well.

Private Session

Connect mind and body with individually tailored Pilates private sessions. Through one-on-one instruction, private sessions are ideal when managing an injury, changing a body pattern and/or working towards a specific goal. 

Semi-Private Classes

The flow of a Pilates group class aims to build strength, endurance and mobility. Group classes are limited to 3 students per class, allowing for an intimate experience alongside the energy of a group class dynamic.

GYROTONIC®

Gyrotonic® is a cutting-edge movement method that seamlessly blends art with specialized equipment that includes both weights and pulleys. It draws inspiration from yoga, dance, swimming, and tai chi to create a dynamic and fluid exercise system. STRENGTH
TRAINING

Strength training revolves around the enhancement of one's physical strength, power, and endurance. We incorporate strength training into our clients well-rounded wellness programming.

Our method involves a range of activities, such as engaging in resistance exercises, weightlifting, and implementing progressive overload principles.

THERAPEUTIC
YOGA

Yoga is one of the six schools of the Hindu Philosophy, focusing on movement and meditation as a path to self-knowledge and liberation.  This ancient tradition dates back 5,000 years.  It can help provide movement, support, breath and balance to your body. 

The potential benefits include increase range of motion, released chronic tension, reduced blood pressure, reduced or eliminated pain, strength in the deep supportive musculature and improved resistance to psychological and physical stress. Yoga also has the potential to promote overall physical and mental well-being.  For people with back problems, studies have shown that yoga helps improve strength, flexibility and endurance as well as create relaxation through breathing and meditation techniques.  

At KNOSIS, we provide one-on-one Yoga instruction as an adjunct to your physical therapy or injury prevention program.  Our therapists will devise a program together with a yoga instructor to target your body’s specific needs.  This program is aimed to help heal your injury and restore movement and balance.  It can also help you safely transition into your prior yoga class after rehabilitation.

MASSAGE THERAPY

At KNÓSIS, we believe in the transformative power of hands on therapies. We offer a range of massage experiences, each with a unique focus. Massage therapists work alongside our physical therapists and movement specialists to identify and release articular, myofascial and other body restrictions. We work with the client, tuning into their body rhythms, breath, vibration and life force energy. Massage therapy can play a vital role in the healing process of musculoskeletal injuries and the ongoing balance and alignment of the body.

Orthopedic Massage

Orthopedic Massage utilizes hands on techniques to target specific areas of musculoskeletal discomfort, and addresses whole body biomechanics. A multi-dimensional approach is used including active and passive release techniques to improve joint mobility, and target muscle imbalance.   

Body Work by a Physical Therapist

Specific myofascial and articular restrictions can limit movement and set the body up for excessive strain in other areas. Identifying and releasing these restrictions is central to overall musculoskeletal body health. This session is done by a licensed physical therapist as part of a tailored wellness program.

Mayan Abdominal Massage

Arvigo Maya Abdominal Therapy Is a specific technique of massage which helps guide internal abdominal organs into their proper position and relieves pelvic congestion. It is beneficial for up to 6 of the body systems - reproductive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulation, nervous and digestive systems. 

Structural Thai Yoga Therapy

A deeply relaxing movement based massage focused on realigning your muscles and bones. Tight muscles are released through broad, long compressive movements and trigger point pressure in areas slightly above and below the pain centers of the body. The body is massaged and stretched simultaneously. When your personalized session is complete, you leave energized, relaxed and elongated in ways you may not have known possible.

Pre-post Partum Massage

Prenatal/PostPartum Massage: A healthy, relaxed Mom helps baby to be healthy and relaxed. During pregnancy, massage stimulates the lymphatic system, increases immunity and the removal of excess toxins. It also stabilizes hormone levels and balances the glandular system. Massage postpartum can help with structural alignment, restoring muscle tone in the abdomen and re-positioning of the pelvis.

Vibroacoustic therapy is a cutting edge technology that delivers sound waves to an individuals body while lying on a vibration table (mechanical vibration) and wearing a set of headphones (acoustic vibration). This powerful combination creates an immersive, therapeutic whole-body sound therapy experience and alters multiple areas of the brain and nervous system.
